Start with a photo whose shapes are easy to separate
For a recognizable outline, use a sharp, well-lit image where the main subject stands apart from its background. Leave some space around the subject and avoid covering important edges with other objects. A plain wall behind a person or a pet photographed against a simple yard is usually easier to trace than a crowded scene.
Color boundaries can help define neighboring objects even when their brightness is similar. For example, balloons in distinct colors may have visible edges between them, while a low-contrast photo with overlapping objects can make those outlines harder to distinguish. The tool cannot recover detail that is missing from a blurry or very small source photo.
Make the page and inspect the preview
- Choose one image. Upload a JPG, JPEG, PNG, or WEBP file up to 15 MB. The image limit is 30 megapixels and 6,000 pixels on either side.
- Adjust line detail. Start at Balanced. Move toward Simple if the preview looks crowded; move toward Detailed to reveal more subtle edges. Check whether the main subject still reads clearly before downloading.
- Choose paper. Select A4 or US Letter. The tool automatically uses a landscape page for a landscape photo and fits the complete image inside the page area.
- Download and print. Save the result as a PNG or PDF. The export is prepared at 300 DPI for the selected paper size.
